Gurbani Explorer 1.1

The Gurbani Explorer, created in fond memory of Sant Isher Singh Ji (Rara Sahib), serves as a comprehensive and adaptable tool for exploring Sikh Scriptures and a valuable reference resource for Sikh literature. This application is part of the Isher Micro Media series.

Utilizing intuitive and user-friendly features, users can:

• Search for a specific line within Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, Varaan, and Kabits Bhai Gurdas Ji, and Bani Bhai Nand Lal Ji.
• Perform word searches across the aforementioned texts.
• Access and read three different exegeses or Teekas on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji simultaneously, with line-by-line alignment for ease of use, continuing the functionality introduced in the Windows version of Isher Micro Media since 2008. The included Teekas are:
  • Punjabi/English Teeka by S. Manmohan Singh Ji (published by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar).
  • Guru Granth Sahib Darpan by Pro Sahab Singh Ji.
  • Fridkot Wala Teeka - a classical description of Gurbani in Braj Bhasha by scholars of the Nirmala Sect, under the patronage of the Rulers of Fridkot State.
• Read transliterations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, Varaan, and Kabits Bhai Gurdas Ji in romanized script and Devanagari.
• Access Teekas on Varaan Bhai Gurdas Ji (by Giani Hazara Singh Ji) along with Paath of Varaan published by SGPC Amritsar, including notes and cross-references.
• Review two distinct Teekas on Kabit Bhai Gurdas Ji—one by Giani Bishan Singh Ji and another by Sant Sampuran Singh Ji.
• Use the Paath Bodh utility, which provides punctuation marks and pronunciation guidance across all sections.
• Select from various color schemes to enhance readability.
• Utilize a pre-defined bookmark list in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib for quick access to specific links.
• Add items to Favorites in all sections for personalized access.
